Didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. We were in a lodge and the breakfast I made with the groceries I brought was excellent. I had read that the breakfast was overpriced and not worth it. So didn't chance it. Great bubbly champagne and red wine which we brought. Excellent home cooked meals in our rice cooker and on their hob. The check-in lady was excellent. Very good guide to great beaches . That's why you need local people even if it's a chain anonymously owned. We were early but our lodge was ready. Clean comfortable and quiet. Good kitchen facilities most things there except kitchen foil which I forgot. View and outdoor decking area good on the sunny evening out all day exploring area. Was out all day on the rainy day. Didn't bother with swimming or spa or hotel bar not enough time. Although hotel patio looked nice with a lovely view. We chose a lodge because review had complained about wedding noise etc. No wedding or noise but Glad we did because it was great. Tinkle of a little pond. Bathroom s bit dated but great big bath hot water. Lots of towels. Good design of lodge. One itchy one soft sofa blanket. Parking space. Tesco in st Austell. Open studio in Fowey. Met a friend of one of the artists who in answer to what a beautiful how lucky you are - I believe you make your luck.

Gorgeous building in a beautiful, peaceful location. The superior room with a terrace was really lovely, well designed elegant and comfortable, and very light. The large shower was great, the provision of robes and pool towels was a really nice touch (we didn’t find these till the end, but it was good to know that these are provided). Two small bottles of water in the fridge where appreciated. As the weather was so fabulous when we were there, we really got the benefit of the terrace which was bathed in sun. it wasn’t private but it didn’t matter. The bar staffwere lovely. Unfortunately the restaurant didn’t seem to serve anything we could eat (we’re vegan) so we brought our own food as it’s too far from anywhere to go out for dinner, if you don’t want to drive. We only stayed one night but it was a respite from a really tricky personal situation, which was really appreciated. The free upgrade to a superior room was a real treat. We didn’t use the pool this time, but will do next time.

We had a two night stay at the Trenython Manor Resort and it was excellent! The hotel is beautiful everything from the rooms to the outside grounds. We was greeted by the most friendly and polite reception manger who accommodated to our stay. It was my wedding anniversary and the staff very kindly decorated our bed with rose petals and towel swans they also left us a card snd chocolates. We had dinner at the hotel on your first night and it was really nice as a vegetarian option with a very gesture of free mocktails with our dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Vegetarian breakfast on the first morning was again 10/10! Oh the best to last the SPA!! Fantastic!! They have a booking system 1 hour slots.. we was booked at 5clock and both days we went it was very quote only 3 people. It felt like we had the spa area to ourselves. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff and easy relaxing environment. We had been allocated a room on the top floor, there are no lifts so had to climb quite a few sets of stairs, Unfortunately, I had twisted my ankle at my previous destination and found it difficult to climb stairs. The receptionist found us another room on the first floor which had the most beautiful outlook ( although a little more expensive ). They supplied ice for my foot and couldn't have helped more. We had a fabulous evening meal, and watched England in the semi finals of the Euros, at the bar with a few other hotel guests. Very relaxing.

I would recommend this hotel for its gardens and its setting, and the magnificent building. Especially stand out features are the standard of the rooms, the cleanliness of the whole hotel, fantastic breakfast and the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Indeed I would like to stay there again in the future,,,, but,,,,
