Welcoming staff, helpful and understanding when we had a discrepancy about checkout time. The staff gave us complimentary water to take when leaving. The lounge area, bathroom, hallway and bedrooms were all of a substantial size. Tea and coffee sachets were provided which was much appreciated. We had full access to the facilities including swimming pool and bar area throughout our stay. There is a simple process to book in to the pool in order to make sure its not too crowded with guests. Towels to be used by the pool were not in our rooms as mentioned but this was quickly resolved with the front desk and the lifeguard provided these upon our arrival. The pool area is very clean with a lovely little sauna and jacuzzi. There is a beautiful woodlands walk around at the back of the manor beneath the terrace; it is on quite a slope so recommend wearing supportive footwear (but I did just about manage it in heeled boots without tripping/falling!). We had a wonderful day sitting in the sun and ate lunch there together with some drinks; I recommend that you wear suncream if a hot day as a very good sun spot - I caught the sun! :D

Gorgeous building in a beautiful, peaceful location. The superior room with a terrace was really lovely, well designed elegant and comfortable, and very light. The large shower was great, the provision of robes and pool towels was a really nice touch (we didn’t find these till the end, but it was good to know that these are provided). Two small bottles of water in the fridge where appreciated. As the weather was so fabulous when we were there, we really got the benefit of the terrace which was bathed in sun. it wasn’t private but it didn’t matter. The bar staffwere lovely. Unfortunately the restaurant didn’t seem to serve anything we could eat (we’re vegan) so we brought our own food as it’s too far from anywhere to go out for dinner, if you don’t want to drive. We only stayed one night but it was a respite from a really tricky personal situation, which was really appreciated. The free upgrade to a superior room was a real treat. We didn’t use the pool this time, but will do next time.

Property was impressive. We had a fantastic time and was upgraded to a room with the terrace. Very beautiful and peaceful. The room was newly refurbished and over exceeded my expectation. The property was pleasant and not too overcrowded. Breakfast was great, evening meal was even better very impressed. The staff were wonderful and very engaging we were made to feel very welcome. The bed was made up beautifully with the towels, chocolates and card for my birthday, which I really appreciate it. I had a wonderful experience and a joyful walk in the woods beautiful breakaway and I would definitely return. Thank you for everything.

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff and easy relaxing environment. We had been allocated a room on the top floor, there are no lifts so had to climb quite a few sets of stairs, Unfortunately, I had twisted my ankle at my previous destination and found it difficult to climb stairs. The receptionist found us another room on the first floor which had the most beautiful outlook ( although a little more expensive ). They supplied ice for my foot and couldn't have helped more. We had a fabulous evening meal, and watched England in the semi finals of the Euros, at the bar with a few other hotel guests. Very relaxing.

We stayed at the Lodge, for 7 nights and it was quiet we had our privacy from other neighbours. We loved it is very spacious two bedrooms with a bath and a separate shower, comfortable beds, wardrobes, the kitchen with essentials cookware, toaster, microwave and a dishwasher and washing machine, fridge freezer and we really loved the bath with jets and the good shower, comfortable sofas, and a big terrace with table and chairs, we liked they tidy the lodge a midweek gives us more toilet paper and clean towels. The staff were very friendly polite and they gave us water bottles for our journey back home.
